Lineage Logistics Manager, Operations 2nd shift in North Charleston, South Carolina

Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and drive the success of our state-of-the-art warehouse? We are seeking a passionate and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and elevate our operational activities to the next level.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership and Team Development: Manage and train direct reports, providing performance feedback and assigning tasks to ensure optimal productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  • Operational Excellence: Continuously enhance operational procedures, including the verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, merchandise handling and disposition, and maintenance of warehouse inventory.

  • Problem Solving: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to swiftly and effectively address operational challenges and ensure smooth warehouse operations.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sales, Inventory Control, and Operations Support to ensure the availability and efficient management of products.

  • Labor Planning: Plan and forecast long-term labor needs based on sales projections and management input.

  • Performance Management: Drive the achievement of company Key

  • Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to cost, productivity, customer service, profitability, and team member engagement.

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure the facility operates in strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a culture of safety among team members at all times.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze operational reports to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to management.

  • Interdepartmental Relationships: Establish and maintain effective partnerships with other departments, including Finance, Human Resources, Sales, and Continuous Improvement.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with machinery and material handling equipment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in warehouse operations or direct warehouse management experience.

  • Problem Solving: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to swiftly and effectively address operational challenges and ensure smooth warehouse operations.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Leadership and Management: Demonstrated ability in managing and developing teams, with strong customer service, communication, and strategic planning skills.

  • Presentation Skills: Competency in effectively presenting information to customers, clients, and employees at all organizational levels.

  • Physical Requirements: Capability to work in extreme temperature conditions, ranging from -20°F (-25°C) in cold storage to 100°F (37°C) in dry storage, with provided protective equipment and gear. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs (18 kgs), with potential for heavier lifting depending on the facility.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including shifts and weekends as required.

  • Adaptability to Noise Levels: Comfort with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.
