The intern will assist Quality Engineers with developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality standards and evaluation methods for products and processes. Provides statistical information for quality improvements by determining and applying testing methods and criteria. Coordinates and guides technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved. Apply problem solving methodology to products and processes.

With direct supervision, you will learn and perform the various aspects of the engineering function by:

  • Assist in corrective action documentation and implementation..

  • Assist calibration department in record development, update, and archive.

  • Assist Quality Engineering in data analysis using statistical processing software.

  • Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.

  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of elements of the quality system as assigned.

  • Projects: Automated Vision Inspection and Capability Assessment.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Being enrolled in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in a related engineering field such as: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Must be entering their junior or senior year in Fall 2024

  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of engineering and manufacturing assignments.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team member.

    Skills:

  • Actively pursuing an engineering degree at an accredited university

  • Strong word processing and/or data entry skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated strong work ethics and ability to drive tasks to completion

  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations.

  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.

  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    WORK AUTHORIZATION: This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).     Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $20-22/hour
