Additional information can be found at www.ttm.com Scope: The EHS Technician will work with the following equipment: resin columns, regeneration system, filter press, clarifier, sand filter, pH meters, equalization systems, pumps, mixers, bag filters, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, and other waste treatment equipment. An Environmental Technician has the responsibility of operating the waste treatment system under routine and non-routine conditions. Will be exposed to hazardous waste while performing daily job duties. Technicians will undergo on-duty training performing these duties. Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to drive a forklift (training to be provided) Empty the filter press and transfer cake to sludge boxes Complete metal precipitation / treatment by batch treatment Manage Hazardous Waste according to RCRA regulations Monitor wastewater effluent by sampling and analysis Perform all lab analysis and special tests of chemicals used in the wet process areas Accurately report chemical analysis and tests to Plating Managers and Process Engineers Make all chemical additions and bath make-ups Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on most lab equipment, chemical controllers, pumps, and other lab related equipment Keep accurate records of all process equipment, analysis and logs Utilize handheld monitoring equipment, (pH probes, TDS probes, metal analyzers, etc.) Maintain the filter press and replace filter press cloths as needed Operate all environmental and wastewater equipment without supervision Manage scrap metals and monitor there recycling Participate in ongoing on-the-job training and provide training to new operators to the EHS Department Follow all departmental process procedures correctly Complete all departmental documentation accurately Complete quality checks when product arrives in and exits the department Perform other tasks as assigned by management and cross-train as needed to assist production Note:The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees, and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel.
