iOS QA Analyst

Do you have a passion for ensuring the quality of new frameworks/services and working with Oracle's most critical customers? As an iOS QA Analyst in our team, you will work with a team of software and QA engineers responsible for the complete Software Development Life Cycle and operations of our new frameworks and services. You are familiar with analyzing the technical assessments of new features and identifying the scope of work/dependencies for test requirements. While your focus will be on mobile, you should be able to dive into any part of the stack. You should have knowledge and experience with advanced networking in the mobile environment. Testing for performance and stability should be the primary priority. You work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and are excited to tackle new challenges.

As a member of our global team, you will:

  • Design, implement, execute, and maintain test cases on different devices and platforms.

  • Carry out technical assessments on requested features and identify the scope of work/dependencies for test requirements.

  • Provide technical guidance in identifying automation targets and designing white box test scenarios, participate in design reviews, and recommend improvements.

  • Assist in troubleshooting and debugging code to find the root cause of the issues and provide detailed information to the development team.

  • Conduct advanced static and dynamic code analysis to identify potential performance bottlenecks.

  • Lead performance benchmark testing initiatives for mobile applications to ensure optimal application performance.

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders in creating and executing test plans.

  • Prepare time estimates of all QA options and other project requirements.

  • Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies and incorporate them into the team’s software test operational processes.

  • Promoting the established processes across the team as well as seeking opportunities to streamline and improve on them.

  • Mentor Junior QA staff in advanced testing techniques and coding practices

What you'll bring:

General Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of experience with iOS platform and understanding of Swift language.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in software test engineering including both white-box and black-box test methodologies.

  • Expert knowledge of the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

  • Strong knowledge of Software Quality Assurance concepts, best practices, and procedures.

  • Good knowledge of any scripting language preferably Python.

  • Expertise in Software Test Automation Framework.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Swift, with a proven track record of testing iOS applications leveraging performance, scalability, and user experience.

  • Expert in performance metrics and identifying/implementing optimizations for mobile applications.

  • Analyze and identify code for efficiency, reliability, and performance.

  • Proficient with code versioning tools, particularly git

  • Experience working with defect tracking tools such as JIRA is required.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with global stakeholders

  • Prior experience in testing/validating SDK will be a big plus.

  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies will be a plus.

  • Eligibility to work in Australia without sponsorship
