As part of the Planning Centre of Expertise, our role involves delivering an assortment and implementation of specialised support across the portfolio of brands executed in the ANZ region.

This includes leading local inventory-related analytics and interpretation, managing the replenishment approach, and providing local planning support on accessories and contact lenses across all banners. Our specialist provides insight into supporting systems such as RPAS and SAP, propose business efficiency improvements, and performs investigations on case of issues, serving as a key liaison with our Master Data teams both globally and locally.

Additionally, building strong relationships with key partners, both locally and globally, is essential to ensure seamless operations and collaboration.

Requirements for Success

  • Conduct store segmentation, including annual reviews, setting local market criteria, holding operations meetings, and addressing ad hoc requests.

  • Oversee the product lifecycle, including best practice clearance strategies for sales and outlets.

  • Deliver space optimization solutions, ensuring compliance with local rules, alignment with global store facings strategy, integrating new stores, and supporting VM principles

  • Provide efficient inventory management including replenishment alignment and frequency and supporting franchise partner inventory management.

  • Actively participate in Roadshows and Training forums including Corporate/Franchisee Roadshows, Brand Immersions and magazines contributions

  • Ensure effective partnership feedback, adherence to contract and product obligations, host strategy insights, and pursue new partnership opportunities

  • Accountable for Business Compliance including discount code compliance and store compliance

  • Provide efficient logistics support, including stock location management, DC analysis, order/invoice management, proof of deliveries, and recall management

  • Develop and maintain markdown process and timeline

  • Partner with Store Operations Team to optimize store execution of price changes

  • Project manages Product Tests in partnership with Global Retail team and Store Operations team.

  • Manage high profile Product Launches in alignment with marketing dates to ensure product is in-store and protect consumer experience

  • Ensure all RPO’s are executed in system and tracked for Audit purposes.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Retail, Finance, Marketing or Store Operations

  • 3 years’ work experience in Retail Planning, Buying or Merchandising

  • Working knowledge of Planning, Buying and Merchandising principles

  • Proficient computer skills - Excel, Merchandising and Planning systems

  • Finance principles - able to communicate financial plans and results from a merchandise perspective

  • Analytical and mathematical skills - able to extract conclusions from available data

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience using SAP & Business Insights
