Job Title: Welder
Job Description
Candidates will be MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel to produce exhaust systems for power generation, oil & gas, marine, locomotive, construction, and off-road markets. Tack welding will also be a part of their duties along with assembling the exhausts. The majority of the work will be a mix of custom and production-style MIG welding. Candidates need to know how to read blueprints and weld symbols. Being able to do a variety of tasks throughout the shop is key to learning and growing within the company.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel.
Produce exhaust systems for various markets including power generation, oil & gas, marine, locomotive, construction, and off-road.
Tack weld and assemble exhaust systems.
Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
Assist with fabrication work such as running a brake press, shear, roller, etc.
Perform a variety of tasks throughout the shop.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MIG welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
Experience with metal fabrication.
Knowledge of welding techniques including tack welding and custom production welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with fabrication equipment such as brake press, shear, and roller.
Familiarity with plasma cutting.
Proficiency with measuring tools such as tape measures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northfield, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $36.00/hr.
