Kelly Services Machine Operator in Norwich, New York
NIGHTS:Kelly® is hiring Machine Operators/Production Workers to work at Kerry Foods in Norwich NY 13815$21 per hour (18.50 base+2.50 shift diff)3rd shift - rotating 12 hours from 7:15 PM to 7:45 AM. 3 on, 3 off then 2 on, 2 offWeekly payLong term temp project, minimum 3 months. Chance for workers to be hired direct based on performance and attendance.The location works with pharmaceutical grade powder and liquid product to create hydrolyzed proteins to preserve food products. This site may have strong foul smell one day and not the next day depending on what they are making. What’s a typical day as a Machine Operator? • Operate blending machine • Package products for shipment• Wrap and move pallets• Perform in-process testing according to approved methods to ensure finished product meets targeted specifications.• Fill out master batch records on time and in a neat, orderly fashion according to GMP’s.• Operate forklift to move products and load/unload trucks (experience preferred but company will train)• When operating packer must be able to lift 55# at an interval of 1 box every 2 minutes.• Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup• Assist other operators with certain jobs such as cleaning filter presses, relieving other operators for breaks, or operate any piece of equipment in any department as needed.• Ensure transactions in software system (SAP) are accurate.• During periods of down time, perform general departmental maintenance, such as painting, cleaning and operational maintenance of department machinery.• Operate a forklift (experience preferred; training provided)This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:• High school diploma or GED• 6 months recent manufacturing warehouse experience, preferably in a chemical or food processing facility• Basic computer knowledge-use of Microsoft Office products and SAP software preferred• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively throughout the day• Forklift experience preferred.Benefits:• Eligible to enroll once you’ve been paid once (paid weekly)• You will get an enrollment notification email and will have 30 days to enroll• Benefits are effective on the next 1st of the month once you have completed enrollment• Go to http://ec.benefitsatkelly.com/ for more informationSmoke and tobacco-free facility.
