ND Paper, Inc., a sustainable paper company that manufactures high-quality pulp, paper and paper-based packaging materials, seeks an Electrical Engineer to provide electrical/instrumentation engineering to complete capital improvement projects in Oak Brook, IL, with up to 75% travel to our papermills in Biron, WI and Rumford, ME.
Duties Include: Prepare electrical/instrumentation capital expenditure requests, provide drawings, order equipment through purchasing, and oversee projects to completion at a minimum of cost, labor, materials, and lost production; Communicate technical requirements to Chinese vendors, and report project progress to ND Papers executives and electrical engineering teams at our world headquarters in China; Trouble shoot and resolve chronic maintenance, mill machinery and equipment electrical/instrumentation problems reporting root cause failure analysis of lost time; Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the mills preventative and predictive maintenance program; Update and maintain mills electrical and instrumentation drawings; Confer with production and maintenance personnels projects for safety and good housekeeping; Support training of mill technicians for installation, startup, and maintenance of equipment and systems.
Wage range for position is between \$74,818 and \$108,635.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (or foreign equivalent) and 2 years Electrical Engineering experience in industrial settings which must include (and can be gained concurrently): Programming any combination of Allen Bradley, Siemens or Honeywell PLC Controllers; Reading PID control loop diagram and design loop logic; and Working with pressure sensor, flow switch, limit switch, Fiber Grating Sensor, and solenoid valves. Must be fluent (read, write and speak) in Mandarin Chinese. Candidates must have references for work experience that confirm experience. Candidates will also be subject to a criminal background check, and may be rejected if criminal convictions are substantially related to the position applied for, in accordance with applicable law.
