Description We are bringing on board an Insurance Referral Coordinator in the Financial Services industry, based in OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Insurance Referral Coordinator, your primary role will involve the coordination and management of healthcare policy issuance, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the issuance process of healthcare policies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures
• Collaborate with internal departments like underwriting, legal, compliance, and sales to gather necessary information for policy issuance
• Review policy applications and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Maintain an organized system for policy documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible
• Monitor policy issuance timelines and proactively communicate with stakeholders to address any potential delays or issues
• Liaise with clients, brokers, and agents to collect missing information, resolve discrepancies, and provide status updates on policy issuance
• Stay updated on healthcare policies, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements
• Assist in the development and implementation of standardized policy issuance procedures and best practices
• Prepare reports and analytics related to policy issuance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency
• Contribute to the efficient delivery of healthcare policies, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction Requirements • Possess knowledge of Basic Life Insurance principles and practices
• Familiarity with Health policy and Insurance Policy administration
• Experience in Policy development in a financial services setting
• Ability to understand and interpret complex insurance documents
• Strong organizational skills to manage high volumes of insurance referrals
• Excellent communication skills to liaise between multiple parties
• Proficient in using software applications related to insurance and financial services
• Strong analytical skills to assess insurance policy benefits and provisions
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory standards
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven problem-solving skills to address customer queries and concerns effectively
• Familiarity with industry trends and regulatory changes in the insurance sector
• Willingness to continuously update knowledge and skills in the insurance field
