DevSecOps Engineer (Hybrid)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer in O’Fallon, IL . In this position you will be supporting the Mobility Enterprise Information Services (MEIS) which provides net-centric services as an enabler for new, modernized and current Mobility Air Force (MAF) command and control applications and capabilities supporting the U.S. Transportation Command and Air Mobility Command global mission. The Mobility Enterprise Information Services framework is a structure providing reusable common platform and information technology services, software products and components, and design patterns allowing for deployment into a common shared environment. As a sub-enterprise focused on the MAF beneath USTRANSCOM, this framework is an integral part of USTRANSCOM's overall service-oriented architecture strategy.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops code, conducts preliminary tests, deploys, documents, maintains and improves architectures, algorithms, interfaces for software applications based on using current and emerging technologies. Integrates software components into a fully functional software solution. Implements contemporary software practices, methodologies, processes, architectural approaches to develop and deploy solutions.

  • Develops, tests and maintains digital software applications using current and emerging technologies. Troubleshoots software issues and conducts root cause analysis. Defines design patterns for software implementation. Contributes to architectures, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Implements continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools. Implements delivery of computing services to be used across applications leveraging current best practices. Supports project management reviews and compliance audits.

  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of software application architectures. Troubleshoots and leads root cause analysis for issues across software components. Participates in internal and external software application architecture reviews. Provides data, recommendations, and estimates for software component level project planning including corrective action plans. Develops, selects, tailors, and deploys contemporary processes and frameworks ensuring continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). Coordinates and participates in process reviews, project management reviews and compliance audits. Develops, maintains, and unit tests code. Develops/decomposes, documents, and maintains software designs and algorithms. Participates in internal design reviews, software integration efforts with large scale software applications.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have CompTIA Security+ Experience with build systems and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

  • Understanding of the theory, concepts, and real-world application of Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), which requires familiarity with tools like AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, and AWS CodePipeline.

  • An understanding of automating a DevSecOps pipeline. Oversee development, Non-production, and Production environments ensuring the highest quality of services.

  • Experience using DevSecOps tools in an AWS cloud environment, such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and SonarQube.

  • Experience working with AWS services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations. Summary base pay range $69,000 - $75,000
