The team supports sales and manufacturing of protein processing equipment to include: industrial ovens, freezers, and portioning equipment. As our Buyer for the Procurement Team– you will report to the Operations Manager. Perform activities related to the procurement and distribution of parts, equipment, and materials of site manufacturing and sales plans. Maintain vendor relations, process requisitions, authorize payments, and participate in the supplier evaluation process. On a given day, you may: Analyze MRP/APS outputs Ensure proofs of shipment for vendor drop shipments Monitor parts issues. Work with Operations Manager and Warehouse Lead to identify item stock outs and work with vendors to expedite deliveries Identify improvements to process. Requirements for the role Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or Equivalent experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain experience will be considered. 2 years' experience as a Buyer or Supply Chain Specialist in a manufacturing environment Experience using MRP, Purchasing, Supplier negotiation, ERP systems, and Materials/Inventory Management.
