Description

The Safety/Security Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that workers are properly performing work in accordance with company-specific guidelines, TSA, FAA, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) standards, and safety/security requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Support training for new hires and recurrence training for all current employees.

  • Designated trainer for ATI/ABX.

  • Ramp Operation Course

  • Dangerous Good Handling and Awareness

  • Cargo Security Representative training.

  • Investigate Safety and Security events down to the root cause

  • Suggest and implement mitigations plans from investigation/audit findings

  • Ensures employees are working in accordance with company standards and state and federal laws.

  • Conduct daily safety walks.

  • Conduct weekly and monthly inspections to ensure fire extinguishers, eyewash stations are operational and in working order.

  • Consult with supervisors and managers on safety/security-related issues.

  • Communicate with corporate leadership of safety/security-related incidents/issues.

  • Ensure company is compliant with all city, federal, and state laws.

  • Conducts on job training.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Conducts on job training for employees.

  • Ensures Company is compliant with all federal and state laws as it relates to safety.

  • Conducts audits

  • Must possess exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve project issues and challenges.

  • Strong attention to detail and deadline orientated.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be responsible and work with little to no supervision.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Safety experience preferred.

  • Other duties as assigned.
