Hourly Rate: $27.80/hr to $36.14/hr

Shift: Day Shift

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

Under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of the complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic manufacturing equipment and property. Performs quality craftsmanship to meet company standards.

THE DETAILS:

  • Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

  • Responsible for the connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components

  • Demonstrates “Team Player” attributes and willing to work and train co-workers.

  • Performs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair on equipment and property

  • Assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures

  • Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the county, state and federal levels

  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts

  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments

  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment

  • Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred

  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible journey level electrical experience; OR, completion of a four-year federally approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance and two (2) years electrical experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved

  • Experienced industrial electrician with 3-phase, 480V, and troubleshooting PLC logic. PLC programming design, development, and optimization is a plus.

  • Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system

  • Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
