Lockheed Martin Classified IT DevSecOps Engineer, Senior Staff in Orlando, Florida

At the forefront of enabling our nation's critical missions, Lockheed Martin's Classified IT Transformation program is on a mission to establish several cutting-edge multi-level security (MLS) boundaries. These secure boundaries will cater to both internal development programs and external clients. We're on the lookout for skilled infrastructure and cloud engineers who can seamlessly transition Lockheed Martin programs into these secure MLS environments without disrupting their operations.

In this role, you'll strike the perfect balance between ingenious solution engineering, a comprehensive grasp of existing program infrastructures, and the integration of both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software and our in-house developed software applications, including modern software factory pipelines. Our Classified IT Transformation team is searching for versatile "T-shaped" IT systems engineers. You should have a profound hands-on expertise in one or more of the categories listed below, a functional understanding of the others, and a genuine appreciation for operating within secure government environments. While not mandatory, familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process or CNSSI 1253 is beneficial, as it aligns with the stringent requirements of our government clients (or experience with Governance Risk and Compliance frameworks).

• Automation and GitOps: (Infrastructure-, Configuration-, Compliance-as-Code), especially Ansible, also Terraform, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Circle CI, or ArgoCD)

• Virtualization: e.g., VMWare vSphere/vCenter, KVM, RHV, OpenStack, OpenShift Virtualization

• Containerization: e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, AKS, GKE, Rancher, Tanzu

• Principles of DevSecOps, culture, shift left, fail early-fail often, toolsets, CI/CD

Basic Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Linux Fundamentals and basic scripting

• Experience with containers and container orchestration tools

• Experience with infrastructure automation in support of COTS or custom-built applications

• Experience with at least one commercial cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google)

• Basic understanding of type 1 encryption and/or IPSEC tunnel.

• Familiarity with the application and benchmarking of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), as well as at least one compliance framework (RMF, PCI-DSS, CMMC, DFARS, etc)

• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain Secret Level Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)

• Experience with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC)

• Existing Security Clearance

• Designing, deploying, and maintaining large engineering COTS applications (ERP, Manufacturing Execution Systems, CAD/PLM tools) in secure, air gapped environments. Specifically with regard to hardening deployments (DISA STIGs and SRGs).

• Experience with at least one or more languages: Java, Kotlin, Ruby, Python, .NET, JavaScript

• Hands-on experience with ICD 503/JSIG and DAAPAM 

• Experience implementing new and complex technologies at multiple classification levels within large environments and at an Enterprise level 

• Experience with IS auditing and investigations 

• Knowledgeable of operating system security requirements 

• Hands on experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools 

• Experience with developing, reviewing and maintaining RMF artifacts

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
