Job Title: Concrete Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Block Machine Operator to operate machinery that casts concrete blocks. You will work with raw materials, ensure quality, and move finished blocks to racks. As a Concrete Block Machine Operator, you will be responsible for forming 12-16k blocks per day.
Pay
$20-$25/hr
Responsibilities
Complete visual inspections before operating machinery
Monitor the startup and shutdown of machinery
Perform quality checks once an hour on product (height checks / moisture checks)
Make adjustments to machines (timer adjustments / weight adjustments)
Basic troubleshooting of machines (clearing jams with on-site maintenance support)
Perform basic preventative maintenance, including cleaning machines before and after shift
Confirm batching system settings align with current specifications
Scrape excess concrete
Essential Skills
Concrete handling
Machine operation
Concrete inspection and finishing
Forklift operation
Production and construction experience
Inspection skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be mechanically inclined for basic troubleshooting on machines
Able to stand for 12 hours a day
Able to lift 50lbs throughout the shift
Able to read a tape measure and follow basic work instructions
Previous forklift experience preferred
High school diploma

Work Environment
The work environment is outdoors, covered by a pavilion. It can be hot during the summer and cold during the winter. The environment is dusty and dirty. The shift is Monday to Friday with many Saturdays required, from 6 AM to 6 PM (60 hours a week). You will need to wear PPE, including steel-toed boots. No certifications or medical checks are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
