Lockheed Martin Quality Management System Compliance Lead in Orlando, Florida

Description: The Work

The RMS Quality Transformation organization is seeking a motivated forward thinking individual with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering experience to join our team as a Quality Management System Compliance Lead. Our team is looking to develop technical talent to help transform our business, evolve our strategy, align with 1LMX activities, maintain AS9100 and ISO9001 certifications and shape the future of Quality as partners to the business. Above all our purpose is to ensure customer satisfaction through on time delivery of high quality products and services.

This person will work as an individual contributor and act as an internal consultant leveraging their expertise to develop, drive, and implement value added solutions focused on increasing efficiency, reducing risk and maintaining high quality standards across the enterprise.

This position will support RMS audit and risk mitigation activities across RMS sites and require a minimum of 20% travel.

Responsibilities include:

• Help shape the future of the RMS Quality organization through driving one common Quality Management System, alignment with 1LMX transformation activities, increased efficiency and cost competitiveness and improved technical support in corrective action/implementation to reduce risk.

• Establish and maintain effective partnerships with RMS line of business leads (LOB) and site Quality team members.

• Assure effectiveness of business processes and system standards while maintaining compliance with company standards, regulatory and industry requirements including: ISO9001/AS9100 surveillance and reassessment external audits.

• Performs and reports on internal and external audits, system, product and process conformity, pre-audits and special audits. Add value through continuous improvement and reducing risk.

• Develops, distributes, monitors and validates internal and external issued corrective action requests (CARs). Investigates problems and partners to develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring system process discrepancies.

• Collaborate and partner with Corrective Action Boards to drive robust corrective action implementation.

• Facilitates 3rd Party Registrar audits when applicable

Basic Qualifications:

• Possess Technical Degree and/or ASQ Certification for Quality Engineering and/or relevant work experience

• Experience within Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related technical field and industry with a proven history of delivering results

• Ability to work independently and travel as required

• Ability to analyze data and make informed data-driven decisions, communicate technical details, develop corrective action plans, track actions and implementations to closure.

• Interpersonal skills and ability to partner and support functional, program, and site leadership

• Ability to work collaboratively to develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

• Provide helpful, timely leadership and solutions

• Organized and have attention to detail

Desired Skills:

• Prior product or process management or similar relevant experience within the manufacturing and/or aerospace industry

• Exhibit proactive systems approach to problem solving, leveraging technical expertise to drive Quality Management System effectiveness and compliance

• Ability to synthesize results and present findings through research and analysis

• Comfortable communicating with stakeholders in all levels of the organization

• Working knowledge or experience in Production Process and Capability Assessments (PPCA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and/or Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

• Auditing experience and/or familiarity with AS9100 and ISO9001

• Knowledge of applicable industry standards (AS9100, AS9110, AS9102, ISO9001, 14CFR parts 21 and 145, DFAR, etc.).

• Self-starter who can work with minimal direction

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
