Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

This role is responsible for leading the assembly of components and sub-assemblies of metal parts according to blueprints and job packets. The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan and perform large and complex assemblies, direct others with minimal supervision, and assist with assembly jobs as assigned. The role also involves performing inspections throughout the entire process to ensure quality and reduce scheduled time for jobs. The mechanical assembler will maintain a clean and safe work environment and may operate a variety of hand and power tools such as band saws, drill presses, grinders, and belt sanders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the assembly of components and sub-assemblies of metal parts according to blueprints and job packets.

  • Plan and perform large and complex assemblies.

  • Direct others with minimal supervision.

  • Assist with assembly jobs as assigned.

  • Perform inspections throughout the entire process to ensure quality.

  • Reduce scheduled time for jobs.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools such as band saws, drill presses, grinders, and belt sanders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or one year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment/manufacturing assembly

Work Environment

The facility is well-lit and clean. New hires begin with training boxes. The dress code is standard casual, including jeans and t-shirts. Steel-toe shoes, as well as ear and eye protection, are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $23.50/hr.
