Key Responsibilities:
Strategically plan, direct and control the overall business and operational activities of the BVBI (that consist of the Business Unit (BU) of Accredited Checking (AC) Engineering, Structural Investigation Engineering, Building Inspection and Qualified Person & Site Supervision, so as to ensure achievement of revenue, profitability and growth of the BVBI.
Plan, direct and control the deployment of resources (e.g. manpower allocation, project coordination) so as to ensure seamless projects operations across all projects.
Provide strategic leadership on matters pertaining to key business and operational decisions to his direct reports by ensuring issues are effectively resolved and to ensure smooth running of the overall BVBI operations.
Review and provide timely business and technical inputs to the Head of BU so as to ensure work delivery in the utmost professional standards and integrity, in compliance with rules and regulations set and in up-holding the good image of the Company.
Build and maintain good relationship with industry peers through networking for information on industry trends, business opportunities, collaboration and branding of the Company so as to enhance the brand value and market positioning.
Build and enhance relationships with strategic clients through timely engagement so as to ensure mutual expectations are met, issues are amicably resolved and thus, leading to the capitalization of current or future business opportunities.
Lead, drive and promote a motivating working environment by providing tactical leadership, training and development opportunities, coaching and mentoring to his subordinates so as to ensure sustainable performance and team culture.
Attend Management Tender Meeting to decide and approve on tenders matters so as to ensure all decisions made are for the best interest of the Company.
Carry out performance evaluations of the respective BVBI BU’s head on annual basis or as and when directed by the Senior Management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field with Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
A business degree such as an MBA would be beneficial and previous experience as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) or Resident Engineer (RE) would be advantageous.
Strong business acumen to guide the business towards achieving revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a team and competence in managing and developing teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Effective communication skills and strong networking skills to build and maintain relationships with industry peers and clients.
Strong decision-making skills capabilities and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
