Job Title: Design Engineer
Job Description
Seeking a detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our ceramics group. In this role, you will primarily utilize Solidworks and AutoCAD to design and modify industrial pollution equipment, such as scrubbers, dust collectors, and anodizing equipment. While the role is predominantly desk-based, you have the opportunity to observe your designs on the production floor. Your tasks will include drawing from scratch as well as editing existing designs, with a focus on innovation and precision.
Hard Skills

2D AutoCAD experience

2 years design experience OR certification in Solidworks

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Owosso, Michigan.
Work Environment
You will be part of a dynamic team of 2 other designers within the ceramics team, reporting directly to the on-site supervisor. Standard work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime or early leave depending on project demands. The role includes 2 weeks of vacation and occasional travel within the US, for which expenses are reimbursed. Travel is infrequent, typically a few days up to a couple of weeks per year.
