Role Summary:

The Process Engineer is dedicated to facilitating all aspects of the 6S process and continuous improvement initiatives. This task includes identifying and maintaining the 6S needs through personal effort and involvement with production, shop and other department personnel at all levels, assisting theCorporate 5S Leader and Continuous Improvement Leader where needed in our overall lean journey and helping to build the culture of constant improvement at every level of the organization

Accountable for:

  • Monitor and maintain all areas of our 6S process.
  • Develop and promote 6S initiatives.
  • Complete, distribute, and monitor the audit process for all departments
  • Maintain and monitor the 6S task board process in production.
  • Participate in Kaizen Events.
  • Lead and direct 6S teams, groups, and activities, including Gemba Walks.
  • Ability to design, build, install and facilitate an entire process from start to finish.
  • Maintain and inventory the extra tool supplies for all departments.
  • Maintain and inventory 6S supplies.
  • Workstation layout and workflow design.
  • Working with outside supply vendors
  • Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety.
  • Can effectively take input from fellow team members and incorporate it into the process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • This job requires a four-year technical degree or, completion of studies in Lean Manufacturing
  • The person in this position will be required to show demonstrated knowledge of Lean
