Description
Our growing construction company is looking for a seasoned Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. Combining a sharp eye for fiscal management and a concrete understanding of the construction industry, we are confident that a Staff Accountant with your skills will help solidify our foundation and build our business. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing our company's financial data, ensuring its quality and accuracy. You'll perform various accounting and record-keeping tasks, filing taxes, and attending all administrative functions in relation to cost management.
Responsibilities:
Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Prepare and analyze budget, revenue, and expenses reports.
Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve performance.
Use accounting software and systems for smooth, efficient functioning, correctly entering data, and creating reports
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
2+ years experience in accounting, preferably within the construction industry.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
