Dowbuilt Site Logistics Manager in Palm Beach, Florida
We’re hiring a site logistics manager to proactively support large Dowbuilt projects with the flow of traffic, equipment, materials, and tools on site. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and overseeing processes for accurately tracking, storing, organizing, and moving tool and material inventory and informing a supervisor when stock is running low. This position will assist and serve as a back-up to the site logistics coordinator as needed with directing site traffic. This position requires well-developed planning and logistics skills, clear and proactive communication, and is critical to maintaining production efficiency on Dowbuilt’s largest, busiest, and most complex job sites.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Perform traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follow safety protocols on site including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices; safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic. Traffic control duties may vary according to job assignment.
Inspect site frequently to ensure it is properly maintained and the flow of traffic, equipment, materials, and tools is running smoothly.
Create and implement processes and FieldWire tasks for the following:
Soil erosion controls including silt fence, rumble pads at entrance, construction fence, etc.
Debris yard maintenance and dumpster swaps
Site trash can cleanup
Dust Control
Temporary protections visual inspections
Maintenance of concrete washout area and bins
Collaborate with the Site Logistics Coordinator to ensure all required tasks above are completed in a timely manner.
Develop a process to accurately track and organize all tools, materials, and inventory located in the workshop, storage containers and site yard. Document and maintain the system to organize these items in various locations.
Receive delivered materials, double check manifest to ensure all items have been delivered and confirm that all items are un-damaged
Communicate with the superintendent on schedule needs, to effectively organize and stage materials on site to ensure items are readily accessible as required by project timeline
Move items to and from the staging area to ensure production efficiency
Maintain, perform daily inspections, and track inventory of hoisting equipment required for material handling
Monitor and coordinate the delivery and pickup of construction debris bins
Coordinate and ensure all tasks are completed on time, in accordance with applicable company, local, state and federal rules and regulations
Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
Enthusiasm for fostering an inclusive work environment, leading diverse teams and a commitment to increasing equity for all employees
Complete any additional tasks required by the superintendent
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
To be successful as a Dowbuilt site logistics manager you’ll need:
At least 5 years of professional experience within the construction industry; luxury-residential preferred.
Proficiency with FieldWire and/or Procore
Demonstrated ability to create systems, processes and workflows to organize materials, tasks and information
Certified to operate a variety of equipment such as a Forklift, Skidsteer, backhoe, etc.
Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in traffic operations related to construction work.
Knowledge of technology and ability to learn to use applications and computer software such as BlueBeam ReVU, Smartsheet, Outlook,
Ability to read and understand blueprints / plans to comprehend layout of baselines and machinery positions
Understand weights of equipment and rigging tools
Experience driving lifting equipment
Skilled with basic power tools
Must complete or already have acquired the appropriate safety training commensurate with the position and location
Ability to follow instructions, take notes and perform work as designated
Ability to be an active listener, ask for help and suggest solutions
Demonstrate discretion and treat all proprietary company information as strictly confidential outside, and in some cases within, the company
Be a team player and foster a positive and constructive attitude environment onsite
Consistently work toward a high level of accuracy and efficiency
