Job Information

ARCHITECTURAL POLYMERS Material Handler in PALMERTON, Pennsylvania

·         Cooperate with Purchasing Manager and Shipping Manager regarding inbound and outbound shipping.  This includes the loading and unloading of LTL, Common Carrier, AP trucks and others

o    Verify packing slip counts with purchasing and shipping managers.  This applies to both inbound and outbound shipments.

o    Verify quality of inbound shipments and IMMEDIATELY report any damaged receivables to Purchasing Manager

o    When loading product shipments, ensure load is adequately protected, stacked and secured

·         Ability to correctly and without damage move all materials with the use of necessary equipment

·         Assist Trimming Supervisor with organizing produced liners and stage for trimming and cleaning operations

·         Assist wood shop with the movement of materials required for production

·         Maintain and organize all production materials; i.e. Duna, plywood, plastic, etc.

·         Maintain, organize and document all mold/liner materials; i.e. masters, crates, etc., in designated areas

·         Cooperate with shop personnel to move waste materials (plywood, garbage, etc.) to the dumpster

·         Assist all shop personnel with materials required for production, i.e. mold materials, etc.

·         Complete forklift logs per AP/APT policy

·         If assigned by Production Supervisor, properly construct shipping pallets and crates

·         Use production techniques which are consistent with the company standards of quality while applying work habits, which are in accordance with the company employee policy, as outlined in the organizational manual.

·         Maintain all work area in a clean and safe condition.  Immediately inform Production Supervisor of any hazardous condition.

·         Perform all work in a safe manner.  The use of safety glasses and steel-toed boots is required at all times.

·         Be willing to participate in shop meetings (OSHA, safety, production, and benefits) and training programs which are sponsored by the company.

·         When in personal contact with an associate, maintain a polite, courteous attitude, and refer any problems to the Production Supervisor or Production Managers.  Maintain a positive work attitude and cooperate with fellow employees.

·         Return and store all unused materials in an orderly fashion on completion of job.  Clean and return shop tools to their designated storage space.

·         Notify Purchasing Manager of impending deficiencies for timely replenishment.

Be willing to perform other tasks, outside of this job description, as assigned by superiors.

Physical Demands

·         Heavy (exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects).

·         Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.

·         The ability to safely use industrial machinery and power tools.

·         Repeated bending and twisting
