ManTech Engineering Technician in Panama City Beach, Florida
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team in Panama City, FL . This is an onsite position.
This work supports the U.S. Navy Landing Craft and Air Cushion Connector Ship-to-Shore (LCAC SSC) Legacy at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) as part of a depot repair, refurbishment, craft operation and maintenance team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assemble and install equipment requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting electrical components while following detailed procedures
Replace components and wiring circuits
Repair simple electrical/electronic equipment
Take test readings using common precision measuring instruments (digital multi-meters and/or signal generators)
Perform miscellaneous assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed
Receive initial instructions, equipment requirements and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed
Complete recurring work independently by observing, troubleshooting, correcting, and reporting findings on electrical malfunctions
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 3+ years of assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting
3+ years of experience in using a variety of hand tools such as digital multi-meters and signal generators
Demonstrated experience working with components and wiring circuits
Proficient mathematical, written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- NSWC experience
Clearance Requirements:
Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain
Ability to obtain CAC badge and Base Security Access approval
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in confined/restricted spaces
Steel toed boots may be required
Work extensive time in stationary positions
Climb and descend ladders
