Description
We are in search of a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Paramount California. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting activities, including bank and credit card reconciliations. You will also oversee inventory management, assist in the development of accounting procedures, and support budget management activities. This role requires an individual with a strong background in accounting and finance, with a particular emphasis on inventory management.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, ensuring the timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and monitor inventory records, including reconciling physical inventories and investigating variances.
• Oversee and ensure proper inventory accounting, including standard costing and variances.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures to enhance and maintain internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule.
• Assist with financial and tax audits, and contribute to corporate reporting requirements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Manage and process payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as needed.
• Liaise with other departments to provide accurate financial information and support decision-making processes.
• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to effectively perform job functions.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge of General Ledger management
• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in using NetSuite and Oracle financial software
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and SAP financial systems
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and procedures
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
