Citigroup Equity Sales Trader (Paris) in Paris, France
We are looking for a Sales Trader to specifically cover the US client base for both Developed European and Emerging markets based out of our Paris office. The Sales Trader is a hybrid Sales / Trading role. The execution point for US Institutional clients. As well as finding and providing liquidity for these customer sets the role involves idea generation, cross product content delivery and market intelligence. There is a big overlap with Prime, Generalist/Specialist sales, Trading, Delta1, Equity capital markets and Derivatives. The overall objective of this role is to generate commission, source liquidity and be a conduit for the customer base into the Equity market.
Responsibilities:
Market Citigroup’s execution capabilities, contribute to team strategy and deliver a high level of customer service.
Develop new relationships, cement current relationships and share existing relationships with Citi colleagues.
Offer certain client full sales trading plus trading coverage and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policy.
Develop client from acquisition to ownership of high-profile institutional accounts.
Lead strong governance and controls.
Own the internal cross-border relationships and help drive our International offering out of NYC
Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics.
Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you.
Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of equity analysis, market dynamics and fundamentals,
In-depth knowledge of financial institutions asset classes and products
Proven US client relationships and US institutional client-specific knowledge
Knowledge of equity trading, trading strategies, the marketplace and market issues
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Proven negotiation and persuasion skills and fluency in additional languages preferred.
Experience of having operated in a tier 1 US financial institution
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred.
