As an shuttle driver / service porter, you will be responsible for performingcleaning and maintenancetasks around the service department, completingdeliveries and errands, andproviding assistanceto customers and service department employees. This is an entry-level position that provides an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the automotive service industry.
Responsibilities:
- Transport customers and their vehicles to and from the service department and into designated areas
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, such as sweeping floors, emptying trash, and changing lightbulbs
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of service vehicles, such as refueling, washing, and parking
- Deliver parts and supplies to automotive technicians as necessary
- Provide miscellaneous service to customers and service department employees
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand and walk continuously
- Able to operate vehicles safely
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to bend, kneel, and squat, as well as use either or both hands to reach in all directions.
