Position: Highway Maintenance Worker (Pataskala Outpost)

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalency. One - three years' experience performing semi-skilled labor work or any combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work of this class.
Additional Qualifications (Agency/Dept. Qualifications):
Valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Subject to DOT regulations. Safe driving record.
Hours: Full-time
7:00 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m.
Salary: $23.31-$25.64 per hour (under current union contract)
Based on union contract requirements (Highway Maintenance Worker I, II, III)
Duties:
· Physical maintenance and repair of County highways primarily using hand tools and motorized handheld equipment.
· Repairs and maintains road surfaces, berms, culverts, ditches, fences, bridge surfaces, guardrails, and control of roadside vegetation.
· Operates dump truck with and without a snowplow and spinner.
· Operation of light, medium or large size equipment.
