POSITION: Adult Education CTE: Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (PT – Day/Evening)
SITE/BUILDING: Milliken Technical Center, Oakdale, NY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide driving instruction to participants on how to operate a vehicle safely, including the utilization of adaptive equipment and addressing disability related limitations
Communicate with ACCES-VR and community-based organizations to support the needs of clients
Schedule evaluation and training appointments
Maintain client and vehicle usage logs
Maintain confidential student files, complete with written reports and required documentation
Schedule and transport vehicles for needed maintenance and repairs
START DATE: January 6, 2025
SALARY: $55.00/hour
Job Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience providing driver rehabilitation service to individuals with disabilities
NYS driver license with acceptable record and permanent MV-283 certificate required
Experience as a NYS Certified Driver Education Teacher or NYS DMV approved Driver Education Teacher
