Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager in Pawtucket, Rhode Island

Description

We are searching for a meticulous and focused Accounts Payable Manager on behalf of our client. The primary role of this position is to oversee and manage all aspects of the accounts payable function, from processing payments to maintaining financial records, and inspiring teams.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the accounts payable team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in their duties.

• Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner.

• Implement and maintain financial systems and applications, Sage 300 experience is desirable.

• Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the accounts payable workstream, including but not limited to, Paid on Time, Days to Pays, and Invoice PO compliance.

• Oversee the Travel & Expense (T& E) submission and payment cycle, experience with implementing new systems is advantageous.

• Maintain high competence with MS Excel, particularly advanced formulas.

• Resolve any accounts payable discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company.

• Manage vendor relationships and build effective partnerships.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, audits, and internal control operations.

• Continuously improve payment processes through efficiency and automation initiatives.

Requirements • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Supervisor or Manager role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and Concur

• Experience in Data Processing and Check Processing

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Ability to handle Discrepancy and Expense Reporting tasks

• Proficiency in Sage 300

• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
