Job Summary:

The Cat® Foresight team is seeking a talented and motivated Principal Digital Program Manager to plan, organize, and implement complex digital projects. This role will work across all Cat® Foresight products and teams to coordinate release roadmaps, consolidate engineering requests, and define and drive integration strategies across products to make Cat® Foresight one seamless application experience.

What You Will Do:

  • Managing the day-to-day activities of cross-functional digital products, including overseeing product development responsibilities and schedules. Developing contingency plans for potential risks.

  • Strategy development for product integration

  • Directing and motivating project teams.

  • Evaluating and managing deliverables to ensure that service expectations are achievable, developed, and met.

  • Monitoring project results for significant deviations. Ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes.

What You Will Have:

  • Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Expert knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

  • Project Administration: Expert knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Implementation: Extensive knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).

Considerations for Top Candidates:

  • Extensive program management leadership experience working with software engineering teams in an agile environment (typically 8+ years).

  • Experience delivering cross-functional digital products with complex integrated data flows

  • Experience building strategic digital product plans

  • Experience working with cloud based infrastructure and engineering team on shared service software platforms is desired as well

  • Proven experience with project management concepts including project charters, scheduling and planning projects and successful completion.

  • Experience leading and coaching Project Managers (typically 3+ years).

  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Confluence, Power BI, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or influence others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.

  • Should have strong project management skills, team leadership skills, excellent communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills. 

  • PMP certification preferred

Additional Information:

This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL offices with a flexible hybrid work environment.
