Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker to join our team in creating flexible packaging for food & beverage, cosmetic, and personal care products. This role involves operating and troubleshooting machines, ensuring high-quality production standards, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up machines efficiently and troubleshoot any issues.

  • Read and follow the daily press schedule to meet production needs.

  • Accurately record activities in daily log books and required documentation.

  • Set up and document run condition reports for each completed job.

  • Utilize tools efficiently to minimize waste during job setups.

  • Understand customer orders and artwork specifications.

  • Scan and process all materials entering and exiting the machine accurately.

  • Run orders quickly and efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

  • Mark or flag all press stops, splices, and misprints during runs and keep accurate reports.

  • Dispose of flying splices and defects properly.

  • Monitor print quality using the auto defect detection system (AVT SYSTEM).

  • Maintain cleanliness of the press and the surrounding area.

  • Report any mechanical issues encountered during the shift.

  • Ensure regular attendance.

  • Prepare and direct the press assistant in staging the next job.

  • Assist in training and teaching responsibilities as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production and general labor.

  • Proficiency in machine operation and packaging.

  • Strong inspection and general production skills.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • 2+ years of production experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand customer orders and artwork.

  • Experience with auto defect detection systems (AVT SYSTEM).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Work Environment

1st shift, from 4am to 2:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

2nd shift, from 2pm to 12:303am, Monday through Thursday.

The work environment is climate-controlled and clean, with a focus on maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
