Job Summary The Dornsife School of Public Health invites applicants for a research track Assistant Professor. We seek diverse scholars who have either demonstrated or have the potential to generate innovative research related to health inequities, particularly those experienced by communities shaped by poverty, disinvestment, or systemic racism. Responsibilities associated with this position include methodological and collaborative research, publishing scholarship in peer-reviewed journals or disseminated through professional and community channels and continuing or developing a successful grants portfolio. This non-tenure track Assistant Professor (research track) appointment at Drexel University is a 12-month position. Salary for this position is dependent on grants and contracts received by the applicant. Applicants with a background in any discipline related to public health are invited to apply. Essential Functions Develop and submit grant proposal for external funding. Lead analyses that contribute to conference presentations and peer-reviewed manuscripts. Manage personnel related to research functions, including staff and students. Overview administrative functions relating to research, including IRB and budget. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications A PhD or Doctorate in Public Health or a closely related field is required. 3 years of experience is required. Preferred Qualifications Expertise in public health research relevant to communities experiencing social and health inequities. Potential to contribute to the scientific literature in related fields. Potential for research to be used for generating or evaluating solutions. Location University City - Philadelphia, PA Additional Information This is a full-time Faculty position classified as Exempt. The salary offered is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
