Program Overview

The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.

Role Overview

Summary: The Town Hall Team is a collaborative team with a mission to help Comcast teams and external partners to visualize, plan, and execute programs that inspire innovative ideas, deepen relationships, and drive our business forward. Our team organizes various employee events across the organization and comprises detailed event planners and dedicated producers. We support the events that happen in our 500-person amphitheater and biggest event space on campus, the Ralph J. Roberts Forum. The events range from internal meetings for our senior leadership, big company celebrations, captivating speakers, musical performances, advanced movie screenings from Universal Pictures, and more.

Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Supporting all the needs of the Town Hall Production Team by working with each department/position and partners by:  

  • Support pre-production work by researching events, participating in Production Meetings, standard production administration work for event documentation and data entry.  

  • Assist in internal asset reviews by reviewing client provided content.  

  • Support event producers by helping coordinate and execute production elements.  

  • Support departmental elevation by conducting research of products and software to enhance production and workflow.  

  • Assist in the set-up, use, and reset of production equipment for our live-streamed and recorded events.   

  • Be present in the control room or backstage for all events and assist in the various production positions and departments, which can include Camera, Video, Graphics, Lighting, Audio, Stage Management and virtual.  

    Sample List of Projects:   

  • Pre-Production Support: Assist the Production Management Team by ensuring all event data is correct and ready for distribution. Also assist the stage manager by creating event documents.  

  • Event Support: Review client assets and assist in procurement of assets/content when needed. event assets can include PowerPoints, photos, videos, etc...  

  • Post-Event Support: Assist in media management by logging footage and video editing support as needed. Also, support is capturing post event data for metrics.  

  • Production Inventory: Continuously check production supplies to ensure the space is properly stocked and report as needed to order supplies.  

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing undergraduate degree or similar degree or certification in Business Administration, Public Relations, or Marketing,   Graphic Design, Gaming, or Production  , Human Resources or Talent Development   

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and beyond  

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, etc.   

  • Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven role  

  • Displays a positive and energetic attitude  

  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and able to handle various tasks and responsibilities efficiently with an elevated level of quality.  

  • Ability to maintain confidential employee and organization information.  

  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, meet deadlines, and work independently  

  • Ability to solve daily problems by analyzing situations, determining next steps, and implementing. Ability to comprehend and process information rapidly and accurately    

  • Skills in effectively organizing work, files, records, etc., to maintain efficient workflow  

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track .

  • Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 23 , 2024 through March 28, 2025 .

  • Available to report in-person to the work location provided above.

    1. 0 minimum cumulative GPA preferred.

    Job Location Details:

    This Co-op position is in-person at least 4 days a week supporting event set up, rehearsals, asset reviews, client walkthroughs, and day-of event coordination and execution. A standard week will be in-person Monday – Thursday and remote/hybrid on Friday. Some weeks may require in-person support beyond 4 days due to event needs and certain recurring meetings. We will communicate these expectations on an ongoing basis to remain fully communicative, flexible, and transparent with our Co-Ops roles, responsibilities, and expectations.

Salary:

Base Pay: $23.00
