We are seeking a dedicated full-time Inspector to join our team at our Northeast Philadelphia, PA facility. Job Purpose Inspects materials received, finished products, and work in process of fabrication to ensure conformance with specifications in support of manufacturing on the shop floor, in shipping or receiving, or wherever the requirement resides. Measures layout, fabrication, and machine setup results, using standard measurement devices in accordance with the calibration standards. Verifies physical properties and size of materials, components, and products. Examines finished products for form, fit, and function. Marks parts for acceptance or rejection. Makes reports to suggest changes. Reports inspection results. Makes sketches and recommends procedure for special salvage or scrapping operations. Inspect material for internal defects, using non-destructive testing. As the Inspector, the team member will: *Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to specifications. *Tests and measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications. *Analyzes and interprets blueprints, sample data, and other materials to determine, change, or measure specifications or inspection and testing procedures. *Collects samples for testing, and computes findings. *Reads dials and meters to verify functioning of equipment according to specifications. *Observes and monitors production operations and equipment to ensure proper assembly of parts or assists in testing and monitoring activities. *Fabricates, installs, positions, or connects components, parts, finished products, or instruments for testing or operational purposes. *Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards. *Operates or tends inspection machinery and equipment and uses hand tools. *Completes testing and recommends manufacturing adjustment. *Confers with vendors and others regarding inspection results, recommends corrective procedures, and compiles reports of results, recommendations, and needed repairs. *Uses chemistry knowledge of the composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. *Applies perceptual speed, the ability to quickly and accurately compare letters, numbers, objects, pictures, or patterns. The things to be compared may be presented at the same time, one after the other, or as compared with presented or remembered object. *Applies inductive reasoning and the ability to combine separate pieces of information, or specific answers to problems, to form general rules or conclusions. Formulates logical explanation for why a series of seemingly unrelated events occur together. *Programs, sets up, and operates CMM equipment to complete inspection requirements. *Completes NDT Level I and II inspection requirements. *Sets up and operates Faro Laser, Faro Arm, and other specialized inspection equipment. *Moves inspection work as required to complete quality tasks, where work at a routed process steps resides, and in support of manufacturing.

Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or two to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills: *Product Inspection - Inspecting and evaluating the quality of products utilizing the latest inspection tools and techniques as required. *Testing - Conducting tests to determine whether equipment, software, or procedures are operating as expected. *Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems. *Mathematics - Using mathematics to solve problems. *Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. *Operations Analysis - Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design. *Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job *Troubleshooting - Determines cause of operation error and decides what to do. *Problem Identification - Identifying the nature of problems. *Active Learning - Working with new material or information to grasp its implications. *Solution Appraisal - Observing and evaluating the outcomes of a problem solution to identify lessons learned or redirect efforts. *Time Management - Managing one's own time. *Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
