Mema's Early Learning Center is now hiring a Lead Teachers and Teacher Aides.

Job Title: Lead Teacher and Teacher Aide -- Childcare Center

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher and Teacher Aide to join our childcare center. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the development of young children. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering positive relationships with children and families, and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced educator with strong leadership skills and a commitment to early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
  • Create a warm and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Maintain a safe and clean learning space by following health and safety regulations.
  • Observe, assess, and document children's progress to support individualized learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's development and progress.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and positive team environment.
  • Mentor and support assistant teachers, modeling best practices in early childhood education.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
  • Manage classroom routines, schedules, and transitions to support a structured and engaging learning experience.
  • Address behavioral and developmental concerns in a constructive and supportive manner.

For Lead Teacher position:

  • Minimum of an Associates' Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE); or related field (child development, special education, elementary education or human service field with 18 ECE credits).
  • or CDA

For Teacher Aide position:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED

Experience preferred but willing to train right candidate willing to obtain CDA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a classroom or mentoring other educators.
  • Familiarity with state licensing requirements and early learning standards.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
