ENTRUST Solutions Group Utility Inspector in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

We have a current need for a Utility Inspector based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly document and report all accidents and incidents to the appropriate departments, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Monitor the use of equipment and tools, reporting any unsafe practices or conditions to prevent accidents.

  • Identify and rectify any deficiencies related to contractor and employee compliance, taking necessary actions to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.

  • Provide clear instructions and supervision to personnel regarding safety and operational procedures, ensuring strict adherence to OSHA, DOT, PPE, and company policies.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing and resolving any concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Quality Control, spot inspection of work being performed by contractors, and company personnel ensuring compliance with PGW construction standards.

Please note: This position will be a 1 to 3 year project.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of gas distribution, pipeline and/or facility code requirements and procedures (OSHA, 49 C.F.R. Part 192, regional codes, operation manuals, etc.)

  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the utility or pipeline industries or a related industry.

  • Ability to have a strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of workers and public

  • Skill to have a keen eye for detail in record observations, violations, and corrective actions taken during inspections

  • Ability to make informed decisions and prioritize tasks based on the severity of identified issue
