ABOUT THE ROLE

The Electrical Engineer I will contribute to the design of cutting-edge turbo machinery technologies.

The candidate for this job will help expand our knowledge and capability of turbo machines and other aerospace hardware used for both military and civilian applications by overseeing development programs that involve testing and troubleshooting many aspects of Aerospace hardware.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design Electrical solutions to unique problems, transform concepts and ideas into AutoCAD Electrical drawings that will be fabricated into hardware: panel and enclosure layouts, cable and harness assemblies, and a bill of materials

  • Design test cell control systems from concept, to drawings, to construction and commissioning

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues or modifying facility screens to add capabilities or fix issues

  • Respond quickly with quality solutions to support our customers

  • Onsite Work Schedule

  • Reports to: Sr Test Eng Manager

  • Relocation support may be provided

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

    WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience in testing environment overseeing testing of hardware

  • Working knowledge of industry electrical standards (UL508A, NFPA79, IEC, NEC)

  • Experience with PLC’s, including GE or Emerson PLC’s

  • Experience with programing languages like Ladder Logic, Python, C

  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, Solidworks or other CAD applications to design various electrical hardware

  • A good grasp of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices

  • Experience operating standard test equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical measurement tools

  • A work ethic that places safety and data quality as the highest priorities

  • Proven ability to work with minimal direction in a cross-functional team environment

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written

  • Experience-solving technical problems utilizing analytical thinking
