Job Summary: The Credit Administration Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Credit, Collections, and Inventory Valuation operations, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, managing the credit risk of the company, and proper valuation of retail inventory. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of credit and collections professionals.
Monitor and manage the collection of outstanding invoices, ensuring timely payments.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment issues and disputes.
Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and maximize cash flow.
Oversee the credit approval process for new and existing customers.
Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the creditworthiness of customers.
Prepare and present detailed credit and collections reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
Participate in cross-functional projects to support company-wide initiatives related to credit and collections.
Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify overdue accounts and prioritize collection efforts.
Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in credit and collections regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with accounting software.
Proven experience in a Credit, Collections, Finance, Accounting or similar role.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. (Preferred)
Strong understanding of credit and collections principles and practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
