Aerotek Technician - Automotive Assembler in PHOENIX, Arizona

Job Title: Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technician with superior knowledge of emergency vehicle outfitting. The successful candidate will be able to build complete Patrol and K-9 units unassisted and should possess the ability to fill in or replace a Lead Tech at any time. The role entails directing a team to ensure all specifications and deadlines are met, delivering quality builds consistently. The Technician will perform installation of all equipment, including harness wiring, trunk tray, console, partition and will be responsible for repairing emergency equipment. The right candidate should be proficient in soldering, heat shrinking, looming, wiring, and advanced car wiring. They should also be comfortable using advanced hand, power, and air tools, vehicle hoists, 12-volt relay and testing equipment, and hand torches.

Hard Skills

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Proficient with power tool and hand tools

  • Ability to read work instructions, build prints

  • Installation of all equipment including harness wiring, trunk tray, console, partition

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in PHOENIX, Arizona.

Work Environment

Our team specializes in the custom outfitting of patrol, undercover, battalion command, fire, utility, and construction vehicles. You will be joining a small, tight-knit team of 15 employees. The role involves interfacing with clients, mainly police officers, and hence, requires excellent presentation skills. The working hours start at 5AM or 6AM and the candidate must be willing to work overtime. During our busy season, which is from November to June, expect to work over 50 hours and some Saturdays.
