Position Mission

 The Director, EPC reports to the Sr. Vice President, Field Operations and is matrixed directly to the Enrichment Operations Plant Manager. During major capital construction projects at Centrus locations, this director is responsible for providing technical administration and direction to the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor(s); providing the   interface with the refurbishment/construction contractor(s); and managing the execution work which the Licensee self-performs. 

Roles/Responsibilities/Interfaces

Develop and manage the execution of plans and schedules for the deployment of large-scale plant structures, systems and components equipment, as required, to ensure successful project scope, cost, and schedule performance. 

Creates procedures for the execution of large capital projects in accordance with the license requirements and site requirements.

Manage all aspects of Centrus -- performed engineering, procurement and construction for process systems and balance of plant.

Serve as the Centrus Owner's Representative on contracts with the EPC contractors.

Coordinate the participation of Centrus procurement, legal and financial officers in contract negotiation and administration of contracts within the EPC scope.  Align contracting strategies with overall project strategy for risk management.

Manage the EPC contractors and applicable contracts and subcontracts directly placed by Centrus.

Manage the integration of Centrus-furnished and contractor-furnished materials, goods, and services.

Develop and execute optimum strategy for project construction craft labor.

Provide necessary resources and integrate internal and external technical expertise to support construction and turnover of the commercial plant and equipment.

Ensure all necessary construction and occupancy permits, certificates, etc. required for project execution are obtained.

Ensure accurate documentation of all design modifications and field changes to enable preparation of final drawings of "as-built" structures, systems and components.

Ensure a successful transition from project construction completion to startup and initial operations of commercial plant.

 Prepare monthly cost, schedule, and progress reports in accordance with the company project management program.

 Provide project deployment input in support of Business Plan updates and other business analyses and reviews initiated by senior management.

Participate in internal and external (e.g. DOE, NRC, investor, etc.)  presentations, tours, etc.

Provide project direction for Centrus matrix staff in supporting areas such as human resources (HR), security, communications, information technology (IT), legal, Communications. 

Ensure projects are staffed adequately for successful execution including but not limited to hiring, evaluation, motivate, counsel, and ensure staff are trained accordingly for success. 

Contribute to overall project management leadership discussions and maintain effective interfaces with other functional Directors in the leadership team.

Make presentations to Centrus CEO, Officers and other senior staff as required.

Lead in all aspects of continuous improvement, problem identification, extent of condition analysis, and corrective actions.

Maintain and promote an open work environment that encourages reporting of issues. Fully support a Safety Conscious Work Environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by Vice President, Field Operations.

Adhere to company policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.

Principally work at the ACP facilities in Piketon, OH, with frequent visits to Oak Ridge, TN (centrifuge engineering/manufacturing), Bethesda, MD
