Description
Robert Half is seeking an AP specialist for a role in the Middlesex County, NJ area. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be instrumental in managing and maintaining our accounts payable records, processing credit applications, and handling customer inquiries. Your skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, and Invoice Processing will be pivotal in this role.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Keep precise records of customer credit information
• Resolve customer inquiries professionally and promptly
• Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary
• Handle the processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Perform data entry tasks related to accounts payable
• Manage check runs effectively, ensuring all checks are accounted for
• Code invoices accurately to facilitate proper record keeping
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounts payable processes.
Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
• Demonstrated experience in performing check runs
• Skilled in coding invoices accurately and efficiently
• Proven ability to carry out data entry tasks with high attention to detail
• Experience in invoice processing, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
