POSITION SUMMARY\ The Receiving Agent is responsible to accurately receive materials and product in order to maintain the integrity of inventory controls and insures deliveries to the proper department(s) as well as maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner. He/She will demonstrate Hometown Hospitality and delivering Fun while enforcing the Responsible Gaming Plan, as well as adherence to Internal Control Procedures.\ \ GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES\ The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all inclusive:\ \ 1.Attend daily briefings and meeting, being on time and participating in a positive manner.\ \ 2.Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.\ \ 3.Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.\ \ 4.Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment.\ \ 5.Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.\ \ 6.Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.\ \ 7.Nail covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape, using strapping machine.\ \ 8.Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.\ \ 9.Post weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.\ \ 10.Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Rotate inventories as necessary.\ \ 11.Route items to departments.\ \ 12.Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.\ \ 13.Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.\ \ 14.May operate tier-lift truck or use handtruck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.\ \ 15.May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.\ \ 16.May receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment and be designated Returned-Goods Receiving Clerk.\ \ 17.Conduct him/her in a gracious, kind and warm manner that creates a sense of fondness, as well as professional, courteous and responsive manner, which reflects positively on the company and its core values of Fun, Family and Community.\ \ 18.Perform other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.
