Insight Global Environmental Project Manager in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Job Description

Overview:

 Insight Global is searching for an Environmental Project Manager to support one of our largest engineering consulting firms near Pittsburgh, PA. This Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that end clients facilities are in accordance with multiple regulatory codes, both as related to the environment, specifically focusing on the environmental remediation world as it is related to contaminated mediums. This person should have no problem driving a project to meet deadlines with a sharp level of scrutiny, as well as travel out into the field semi regularly.

Day to Day:

 Support development of strategic approaches to achieve the clients end goal.

 Successfully manage projects, meeting schedules and budgets, exceeding client expectations..

 Lead teams for and/or prepare regulatory-compliant work plans and reports for agency review.

 Support business development efforts as a seller-doer to increase our market share.

 Self-motivated, customer-focused to ensure a positive customer experience.

 Practice strong organizational and inter-personal/soft skills

 Works well in a team environment and can lead with little direction.

 Interface with client, federal and state regulatory authorities, as needed.

 Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner

 Maintain accurate estimated forecast to complete for financial reporting.

 Prepare proposals, cost estimates and qualification statements.

 Plan, schedule, maintain budget and coordinate detailed phases of technical work for in a part of a major project and/or in a total project of complex scope.

 Coordinate and manage subcontractors and vendors.

 Interpret project needs based on regulatory structure and requirements, develop project parameters for environmental investigation and remediation project execution, set milestone schedules, and track progress.

 Support development of strategic approaches to achieve the clients end goal.

 Prepare environmental reports for regulatory review, including data interpretation, tabulation, evaluation for conceptual site model development and trend analysis, and determine compliance with regulatory requirements.

 Supervise performance of conceptual and analytical data evaluation and preparation of detailed reports and supporting documents.

 Perform as a seller-doer to increase our market share with current and new clients

 Support business development efforts.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors Degree in related field (Geology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, etc.)

 Experience within the environmental industry

o Previous experience or education with site investigations, remediation, sampling

o Ideally from a technical nature of water, soil, & chemical components contaminants

 Willing to be Client Facing Deal with External Stakeholders

 Tested ability to evaluate data & write detailed reports

 40 Hour HAZWOPER A Professional Geologist or Engineering Certification (PE or PG)

 Previous experience managing: budgets, finance, P&L sheets, proposals, deliverables, etc.

 Any experience within software or coding (Python, SQL, R. etc.)

 Tested experience being client facing

 Experience working with Federal clients null
