University of Pittsburgh Faculty Instructor Research - Full-Time in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Department of Medicine's Division of Renal-Electrolyte at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks a research instructor-level faculty with interest and experience in epithelial transport physiology and molecular biology. This is an opportunity to work with a group of faculty passionate about teaching, research, and creating collaborative, diverse, and inclusive work environments that provide opportunities for professional development. A successful candidate will have obtained a Ph.D. in biological sciences, possess strong laboratory skills in cell and molecular biology, and have a track record of publications and engagement. This recruit will work collaboratively with investigators in other divisions within the Department of Medicine, the Department of Immunology, and the Department of Cell Biology. The Research Instructor will be engaged in developing and mentoring trainees and students. They will build and lead staff in their team, and support both the Division and Department missions. The Research Instructor will have interest and dedication to, securing both internal and external funding and supporting the mission of the University of Pittsburgh. This position will be 90% research and 10% teaching.
