DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Resource Analyst 2, you will serve as the Employee Relations Coordinator for the Allegheny CAO and Allegheny Customer Service Center (CSC) for all employee relations matters related to employees covered by the AFSCME and SEIU Bargaining Unit Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding.  Within this role, you will also serve as the back-up for the health and safety, workplace violence (WPV), and continuity of operations (COOP) coordinator.  You will be responsible for managing grievances, conducting investigations by interviewing grievants, supervisors, and witnesses to gather witness statements and evidence, and preparing investigation reports to include all relevant documentation.

This position advises management and supervisory staff on labor issues and interprets contracts accordingly.  You will provide guidance and recommendations to management regarding disciplinary matters, in addition to attending disciplinary meetings and delivering disciplinary letters.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 including six months in the area of the parenthetical; or One year of experience in the performance of professional human resource duties, including six months of experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
