The Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Economics is seeking a part-time, highly motivated individual to manage the recruitment and administrative tasks associated with Master in Quantitative Economics (MQE) program. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying, attracting and recruiting a cohort of highly qualified students. Likewise, they will be expected to build a network with external corporations, government agencies, as well as non-profit organizations to provide career placement opportunities for successful alumni. Provide administrative and event support for program.

 

Excellent planning, organization, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required as is the ability to work independently in solving complex problems. Prior knowledge and an understanding of the career market in Economics is a plus. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Packages, internet and social media-based programs. Requires travel.

Job Summary

Manages the day-to-day operations of undergraduate and/or graduate student recruitment. Develops and implements recruitment marketing efforts. Analyzes data to evaluate efforts, prepares reports, and makes recommendations.

Essential Functions

The successful candidate will use a computer extensively. Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time. Must be able to provide transportation to attend off campus events. Must be capable of oral, written, and electronic communications. In addition to a computer, they must be able to use a telephone and other general office equipment including but not limited to fax machines, photocopiers, scanners, printers, etc.

Physical Effort

This position is generally sedentary within an office setting, but the ability to travel on and off campus will be necessary. Also, must be able to pick-up and carry 25 pounds
