- Devoting time during a member's initial service planning meeting to discuss employment with the member and family and the process to obtain employment services and support;
- Employment adaptation, supervision, and training related to an individual's disability.
- Assisting the individual with career advancement.
- Assisting the individual to develop assets and obtain self-sufficiency through work.
- Monitor job performance
- Orienting and training the individual in work-related tasks.
- Communicate with managers and supervisors to gather input and plan training.
- Locating prospective employers offering employment compatible with an individual's identified preferences, skills, and requirements.
- Contacting a prospective employer on behalf of an individual and negotiating the individual's employment.
- Observing the individual's work skills and behavior at home and in the community.
