About this Role

A Unit Writer forIrby Construction Company works directly with Field Supervision to accurately capture construction activity to ensure correct and timely billing. The Unit Writer compares, interprets, corrects, and codes job documents issued by customers and altered by field personnel for billing purposes. The Unit Writer inventories, and balances material used against material issued statement provided by the customer. Direct communication with the utility on any billing questions regarding billable units.

What You'll Do

  • Send and responds to emails, both internally and externally

  • Read electric distribution construction prints.

  • Enter and/or delete necessary job package data.

  • Analyzes as built construction prints, photos, and job packages.

  • Recognize and enter data the field crews missed on the as built.

  • Able to use customer’s WMS Program for additional data entry and analysis.

  • Travel to job sites to obtain any additional information to complete the job package ready for billing.

What You'll Bring

  • Must possess basic working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel

  • Must be able to read and interpret electrical utility construction prints.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of electrical line construction.

  • Must have a background in electric utility line construction and material.

  • 1-3 years of similar or work-related experience is required.

  • Must be able and willing to travel to job sites (some overnight travel may also be required)

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
