Operates a variety of shop machinery and hand-tools such as presses, custom tooling, air drivers and torque wrenches etc. to complete production work orders. Participates in lean / 6S activities as required, maintains 6S standards, and assists in implementing improvements. Performs other duties as assigned including relocation to other stations, positions, and departments within the experience range. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred. Prior work experience preferred, but not required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to comprehend complex instructions and communicate effectively in English. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations such as adding and subtracting. Ability to perform simple repetitive tasks for long periods of time. Ability to listen and be aware of production floor activity to support a safe and hazard-free working environment. Ability to work extended hours and/or varying shifts as requested, including weekends. Basic knowledge of problem solving and troubleshooting concepts. Ability to use basic assembly hand tools. High attention to detail and ability to check own work as directed by a quality control plan.
